When you first arrive at your AirAsia Assessment Day, you will be asked to have a height check. AirAsia Cabin Crew are required to be 157 cm to 170 cm in height (female). They are very strict with their height requirements and if you are shorter than 157 cm or taller than 170 cm you will be rejected on the spot. It’s important that you measure your height before attending an AirAsia Assessment Day to ensure your height falls into the acceptable height range.
The next step in the AirAsia Assessment Day is the document check. You will need to make sure that you bring all the documents you need with you, and double check to see if there is anything specific they want you to bring to the location you’re attending.
It is also necessary for you to hand in an application form, which can either be printed off from the AirAsia careers website or collected during your interview. Along with this you will need to bring a recent resume, a copy of your IC and 2 photos – one passport sized photo and one full body postcard sized photo. You will also need to bring your SPM Certificate with credit in English, a pass in Bahasa Malaysia and one credit in another subject.
Once your documents have been checked you will be asked to do a catwalk style walk towards the assessors. You will then have a scar and tattoo check to make sure you have no visible tattoos or scars. After this, you will be asked to give a short introduction about yourself. While speaking you will be assessed on your body language, behaviour and the way in which you present yourself.
If you are successful, the next step in the AirAsia Assessment Day is the English test. The test will last for 15 minutes and will consist of 25 questions to assess your understanding and fluency of English.
If you pass the English test you will be split into groups and asked to complete an activity. It is important during this stage that you demonstrate your ability to work as part of a team.
